Singapore headquartered, big data solutions company, Antuit has acquired the Japanese subsidiary of data management software solutions provider AuriQ Systems.

“This is an important milestone for Antuit as we augment our team, extend our product portfolio and expand our presence in Japan,” said Arijit Sengupta, CEO of Antuit.

“We are now able to leverage the powerful capabilities of AuriQ’s products, like Essentia, to accelerate the process of analyzing all types of data and help our clients achieve business impacting results.”

Inroads into Japan

This acquisition broadens Antuit’s product portfolio while expanding its client base in the Japanese market. Once complete, it will integrate into its portfolio AuriQ’s suite of data management solutions including Essentia, the company’s cloud-based solution that helps companies manage, process and analyze vast amounts of unstructured, semi-structured and structured data. It is optimized to work with Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.

This is Antuit’s second significant acquisition this year. It acquired Prognos, an advanced analytics specialist in the retail and consumer packaged goods sector. Antuit earlier in January, secured investment of $56 million from a group of investors led by investment bank Goldman Sachs to support global expansion through organic growth and acquisition.

“We are excited to join forces with Antuit,” said Ko Ikudome, CEO and Founder of AuriQ Systems Inc, adding, “The combination of Antuit’s advanced analytics solutions with our data management platform will help our clients drive even more value from disparate pools of data and achieve actionable, business-elevating results.”
