Ping Identity unveils secure IDaaS Platform for enterprises

4 MIN READ

Ping Identity, the enterprise security provider focused on Identity Defined Security has introduced enhancements to its Identity as a Service (IDaaS) platform to bring a more secure authentication experience to enterprises. The new Ping Identity Platform IDaaS features will be demonstrated at the Cloud Identity Summit this week.

Enterprises are largely taking to cloud-based solutions at an accelerated pace to meet the growing demands for a single experience that’s easy, personal and secure. With the new enhancements, the company aims to provide identity solutions to enterprises enabling them with trusted and seamless access for employees, partners and customers.

“In today’s mobile-centric world, user experience is everything, and identity can make or break it. Mobility, combined with unrelenting phishing attacks, has caused multi-factor authentication to evolve from a ‘nice-to-have’ to a ‘must have,’ but it can’t come at the cost of the seamless experience people have come to expect,” said Andre Durand, CEO and founder, Ping Identity.

“Today’s announcement ensures that enterprises can create trusted mobile experiences with very little friction, while also supporting IT’s need to move quickly without compromising quality.”

The announcement comes as a good news for enterprises as it will facilitate the herculean task of digital transformation with new features that are designed to meet their unique identity requirements.

The offering delivers new features including:

  • A consistent, familiar user experience on mobile devices. Updates to mobile Multi-Factor Authentication offer co-branding capabilities for organizations to use their own branding and logos to provide a familiar and consistent authentication experience for employees, partners and customers.
  • Secure privileged access and enhanced support for Windows Remote Desktop. To address the high demand for securing privileged access, Ping Identity has brought in support for Multi-Factor Authentication for Windows RDP through PingID. This new feature expands upon the solution’s existing support for cloud-based applications, on-premises applications, VPNs and Secure Shell.
  • Refreshed PingOne user interface. An upgraded user interface in the PingOne cloud offers customers a simplified, seamless experience. New features allow enterprises to create the best experience for their users and flexibility they need to scale quickly.

“Cisco IT has a wide variety of applications and users all over the globe,” said Ranjan Jain, Security Architect, Cisco Systems Inc. “We were looking for a standards-based, secure, easy-to-use platform to meet our highly complex business needs. We are on the road to provide this secure, seamless and easy-to-use experience by leveraging Ping’s unified platform approach, which makes the implementation an easy-to-consume service for enterprise IT teams of the world like Cisco.”
