Indian consultancy and outsourcing firm, Wipro has launched its DevOps platform, AgileBase, on Microsoft Azure to enable global enterprises to implement DevOps in a fast and cost effective manner. Wipro claims that this platform can effectively decrease the DevOps set-up time by up to 90 percent and while eliminating manual efforts vis-a-vis traditional deployments at the same time. The platform is available on azure Marketplace.

The AgileBase solution automates the continuous delivery processes beyond the industry ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) tools. It leverages present ALM tool investments, to build and release orchestration, and provides real-time dashboards and analytics. It captures metrics for pre-emptive analysis, compliance, and audit. Its Process Templating feature ensures repeatability and standardizes the adoption of DevOps across projects in a predictable manner.

Solution features:

  • Real-time dashboard capability helps identify and address issues
  • Self-serve portal for orchestrating and creating new team projects
  • Custom work flows for CI-CD process
  • Plug-in to generate code quality reports
  • Reference Architecture Kit
  • Run books to manage Test infrastructure

Hiral Chandrana, Senior Vice President– Business Application Services, Wipro, stated:

“We continue to make investments in building solutions to help customers take advantage of Microsoft Azure. The AgileBase platform will help customers adopt DevOps faster, both on-premises as well as for migrating and developing applications on Azure. The platform protects the existing tool investments in an enterprise. Multiple clients across retail, banking, utilities and media industries, among others, are adopting AgileBase to take their DevOps maturity to the next level.”

The platform makes sure that the tool interests in an undertaking, different clients crosswise over retail, banking, utilities and media industries are embracing it to take their DevOps maturity to the next level. Many enterprise customers are now accepting the DevOps tools as they are agile and automate their development, testing and operations environment. While continuing the process these enterprises end up with large set incongruent tools in the IT ecosystem and also large sets of automation scripts. Wipro claims that AgileBase DevOps platform matches with the existing investments made by customer organizations and helps quicken the software delivery process by offering an all-inclusive continuous delivery environment.

The Bangalore-based Wipro and Microsoft have been strategic collaborators for decades. Wipro has been investing on building industry solutions on Azure that help solve customers’ business problems.
