Global IoT player Telit Communications is looking to expand its reach in the Indian market and partner with local telecom players.

Earlier this month, the company launched its advanced portfolio of LTE Cat.1 (IoT) modules in India, targeting customers who require a mid-speed, low-power, long life-cycle mobile data solutions for new or existing cellular devices.

According to Telit, these modules would help customers solve their wireless needs as they move their IoT solutions from 2G to 4G LTE networks.

“As Indian operators deploy LTE networks, our LTE Cat.1 modules would equip Indian telecom operators not only in embracing the IoT revolution faster but also in a cost effective manner,” said Ashish Gulati, Country Head, India, Telit.

The company has partnerships with Intel and SAP to provide private cloud and IoT platform services to organizations. In India, it has collaborated with Tech Mahindra for enabling end-to-end IoT solutions.

“In India, we are working with partners like Tech Mahindra, Reliance Jio and few others. We are focusing on verticals like automotive, manufacturing, commercials, transportation, oil and gas,” said Fred Yentz, CEO, Telit IoT Platforms.

The company has also setup a business unit to focus on manufacturing industries and help them become industrial IoT providers.

“We are building ecosystem of partners in IoT enablement. We don’t provide products and solutions but also share IoT insights that help customers with roadmap to IoT,” said Yentz.

Company also claims to have a cloud based IoT platform that allows a single access point to customers for all its services. Using IoT Portal, Telit enables IoT onboarding, reduces risk and time to market, and simplifies manageability and costs for asset tracking, and other benefits.

Telit and connected car app based service provider Jooycar, which operates in US and most of Latin America, are conducting telematics pilot in India that would help Jooy car to roll out services in near future.
