HPE has upgraded its converged systems and software on Tuesday for hybrid cloud deployments called HPE Synergy. It claims to cut data center costs and slash the time it takes to spin up new applications. This was launched at HPE’s Discover conference in London that was designed to focus on being an internal service provider instead of maintaining infrastructure. One of company’s aim is not only to simplify the management of infrastructure, but also of applications.

“We believe the world is going to be hybrid. And our mission is to make hybrid IT simple. Our goal is to be the industry’s leading provider of hybrid IT built on the secure next-generation software defined infrastructure that runs our customers a data centers today bridges them to multi-cloud environments tomorrow,” said Meg Whitman, CEO, HPE.

It bridges the traditional and new IT with the agility, speed and continuous delivery needed for today’s applications and can adapt to every workload and deliver services at lightning speed. With this software, compute, storage and fabric are available as single pool of resources that can be instantly configured according to the specific need of each application. The Synergy composer leverages integrated software-defined intelligence to accelerate operations through a single interface. The auto-integrating infrastructure makes scaling simple and automated at rack/row scale. The Synergy also enables a fully programmable API interface to optimize partner opportunities.
  • HPE Hyper Converged 380 (HC 380): It delivers a simple solution stack with extended flexibility and manageability. It is built on HPE ProLiant DL 380 Gen9 server platform and is combined with VMware vSphere.
