UK based startup, Klipboard, a SaaS platform in the enterprise mobility sector, has announced the closing of a seed round funding of $900,000 from a Seattle based private equity group and a number of other angel investors.
Klipboard’s tablet app and cloud based web dashboard, simplify task scheduling, location mapping, messaging, viewing and capturing data using mobile workflow forms for assessments, maintenance records, inspections, surveys or just about any process you can imagine. The platform is targeted at field based employees in the construction, engineering, facilities management, manufacturing, surveying and HVAC industries and removes paper work.
Draven McConville, CEO at Klipboard said:
“Klipboard is a transformational product for those working in the field, reducing the onerous paper tasks that field-workers often complain about, it’s perfect for any business with a mobile workforce looking to increase productivity and efficiency.”
The platform claims to present a “fluid user experience” on a tablet app with the capability to work fully offline when connectivity in the field can be an issue. Corporate data is managed on the cloud based web dashboard once collected via the tablet app, whether an employee is using a company supplied tablet or their own.
McConville concluded: “Whether you have an organisation of 10 or 10,000, Klipboard brings the transformational power of mobility to you and your employees. No more lost paper forms, data re-entry, illegible writing or filing storage.”
