Widen launches 'Salesforce Connector' for digital asset management

Digital asset management (DAM) software solutions provider, Widen has introduced a new Salesforce Connector, an integration for CRM. With this, salespeople can search for Widen Collective assets in Salesforce that makes it easy to share updated marketing and sales collateral as they work with accounts, contacts and opportunities. Sales teams rely on visual content to educate, entertain and inspire customers, but accessing that content can be a hassle, therefore, with the integration of Widen Collective with Salesforce will make the job of the sales teams hassle free where they can perform the tasks of core areas as the Salesforce Connector eliminates all the bothers. Without a DAM content marketing hub, salespeople have to scrutinize through cloud storage systems and shared drives, or ask their marketing and creative teams to email the right files which wastes time. What basically needs to be done is to install the Connector and after installing it sales teams will find a Widen Collective instant search connector in Salesforce accounts, contacts and opportunities. They can find the visual content they need, copy the share links, and paste them into emails. If marketing updates an asset, the URL will automatically link to the new, updated asset.
Deanna Ballew, Director of Product Management at Widen said, “Collaboration between marketing and sales is absolutely essential, so we designed Salesforce Connector to strengthen that partnership. With this integration, salespeople can quickly find content in their ‘home’ platform without assistance from marketing, and marketers no longer need to worry that sales will use the wrong assets. This saves time and eliminates stress for both departments.”

Salesforce Connector’s additional benefits are:

  • Salesforce activity history maintains a record of the copied asset names. Thus, salespeople can see everything that has been shared.
  • Widen Collective Insights enables salespeople to track views and downloads by customer, and analyze correlations between visual content use and sales results.
  • Widen share links are optimized for universal viewing on smartphones, tablets and computers.
According to Widen, there are going to be three phases in the integration between Widen and Salesforce. The first phase (available now) allows instant search, copy and download of digital assets from accounts, contacts and opportunities for sales teams. The second phase (planned) will offer instant search, copy, download and collections of assets from campaigns for marketing users. The third phase which is still at the stage of exploring is the integration of visual content with Salesforce chatter and content.
