STaaS provider Zadara Storage to support Google Cloud Platform

Zadara Storage, a provider of enterprise-class Storage-as-a-Service (STaaS), has announced that it added support for Google Cloud Platform, enabling customers to leverage its enterprise-grade functionality. The company has also announced that it has joined the Google Cloud Partner Program.

According to the California-based company, this integration would enable organizations to access enterprise-grade storage from the Google Cloud Platform compute environment through the Zadara Cloud Storage architecture.

The company further explains that Google users will have the option to select Storage-as-a-Service (STaaS) from any location (cloud/hybrid/on-premise), any data type (block, file, object), and any protocol (FC, iSCSI, iSER, NFS, CIFS, S3, Swift) with all of the enterprise-grade data protection features they would expect from traditional, CapEx-based storage arrays.

“We are excited to add Google Cloud Platform to our list of supported Cloud Service Providers,” said Nelson Nahum, CEO and Co-founder, Zadara Storage.

“By adding Google Cloud Platform to our connectivity options, we are executing our vision of creating solutions that are easy to use, ubiquitous, agile, and always aligned with our customer’s businesses.”

Last month, ContractPal, a provider of cloud-based PaaS (Platform-as-a-Solution) applications, collaborated with Zadara Storage over the deployment of Zadara VPSA (Virtual Private Storage Array) to support their PaaS application CloudPiston. This was aimed at achieving both at-rest and in-flight data encryption providing user-owned keys to ContractPal.

Also last week, Impress Group, a media group, consisting of a holding company, Impress Holdings, has replaced their traditional storage arrays with Zadara VPSA to support their growing demand for high-performance shared storage. By working with Zadara partner CDC, the Impress Group has architected a storage infrastructure that is designed to eliminate prior performance and scalability limitations.
