Adobe has announced that Bryan Lamkin will lead the Digital Media business, which includes Creative Cloud and Adobe Document Cloud. Lamkin will replace David Wadhwani, who has moved on to pursue a CEO opportunity.

Lamkin, who led the Document Cloud business as well as Corporate Development and Technology, played a leading role in the success of both Photoshop and Creative Suite. Under Lamkin’s leadership, the company will further align Creative Cloud and Document Cloud product development and go-to-market efforts.

Abhay Paransis to lead Security and Research Teams

Abhay Parasnis, who joined Adobe in July as CTO and SVP of Cloud Technology, will also expand his current role. Parasnis’ charter is to drive the overall technology strategy, architecture, and innovation and integration roadmap for Adobe’s cloud services. He will now assume responsibility for Adobe’s Security and Research teams. Parasnis has 20 years of experience leading major cloud and platform initiatives at a number of enterprise companies.

“Bryan Lamkin has a strong history in the creative and consumer Internet businesses and will drive tighter alignment between Creative Cloud and Document Cloud. As CTO and SVP of Cloud Technology, Abhay Parasnis will further advance our innovation in the cloud,” said Shantanu Narayen, President and CEO, Adobe, on the new appointments.

From 1992-2006, Lamkin worked for Adobe in a variety of senior product roles, including senior vice president for the digital media solutions business, where he established Adobe’s market-leading position with the Photoshop product line and the Creative Suite.

Prior to re-joining Adobe in February 2013, he gained broad experience in social media, advertising, mobile and cloud solutions as CEO at two venture-funded startups, as senior vice president of consumer products at Yahoo, and as executive in residence at Sutter Hill Ventures and New Enterprise Associates.

He holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s in business administration from University of California, Berkeley and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society.
