The 11oo comes with more specific functions, with integrated 4G LTE and next generation Qualcomm IZat location technology, and is targeted at targeted-purpose wearables, such as connected kid and elderly watches, fitness trackers, smart headsets, and wearable accessories.

“We are delighted to add Snapdragon Wear 1100 to our Snapdragon Wear family, thus making it easier for customers to develop connected wearables with targeted use cases such as kid and elderly tracking.”
According to the company, Snapdragon Wear 1100 is engineered to “securely” sync with all four satellite constellations–GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo — with hardware-based security to provide secure location. Furthermore, the new processor comes with a built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and an apps processor for Linux apps.
Snapdragon Wear 1100 has already geared some momentum with Qualcomm Technologies announcing a series of collaborations with Aricent, Borqs, Infomark, and SurfaceInk at the recently held Computex 2016. The companies showcased reference platforms based on Snapdragon Wear 2100 and Snapdragon Wear 1100.
