New Jersey-based HAE Innovations that provides solutions for measuring performance of connected devices and Internet of Things (IoT) services, has launched an IoT solution for developers, integrators, and service assurance providers, IoPass. Claimed to be a test platform, IoPass deploys a scalable architecture for IoT and Connected Device performance testing.

The company states that developers come across many challenges when it comes to testing the product design lifecycle and developers need to verify the technical performance to marketing requirements. This leads them to hold on till the design nears completion so that they can track the performance on some live network or simply invest in costly, complex mobile network simulators originally designed for testing smartphones. Thus, IoPass, according to the company, is a comprehensive, easy-to-use, and cost-effective IoT Test Platform that provides network emulation, automated test execution, centralized test-case management, dynamic analytics engine, and report generation.

Hesham ElHamahmy, CEO, HAE Innovations stated, “We are excited that we are now able to provide global IoT manufacturers a solution to test performance at all stages of development from chip design to service deployment.”

IoPass has been designed with an interactive user interface for non-wireless engineers and it also offers offers both custom development environment as well as automated test suites that safeguards the wireless connectivity, battery performance and signaling performance. According to HAE, the solution was designed from scratch, taking IoT developers’ business and technical requirements into consideration.

IoPass claims to be powered by the XG1000 Network Emulator. The XG1000 is a cost effective and multi-UE network emulator designed for comprehensive IoT and connected device performance certification. IoPass is used to test performance at all stages of IoT development from chip design to service deployment. The company claims that this solution reduces the complexities of IoT testing and increases speed to market by providing IoT developers a safe and repeatable simulated test network environment which a live testing network cannot offer.

Jeff Horner, CTO, HAE added, “IoPass will help IoT developers and wireless operators alike ensure that tomorrow’s devices will connect to wireless networks successfully and efficiently.”
