Verizon Enterprise Solutions appoints Vic Bhagat as CIO

Vic Bhagat has been appointed as the new Chief Information Officer of Verizon Enterprise Solutions. According to the company, Bhagat will be responsible for driving technology strategy and align IT with corporate objectives across Verizon Enterprise Solutions. Also his new role would demand him to focus on bringing a new level of efficiency to the enterprise unit as it accelerates its effort on delivering the best customer experience in the industry.

In addition, Bhagat’s team will design and deliver the next-generation of integrated enterprise communications solutions to provide incremental value to clients.

Vic’s leadership will enable us to further bring innovative capabilities and solutions to optimize end-to-end processes across the organization using a customer-first approach, backed by the highest levels of service and expertise.

As a 30-year industry veteran, Bhagat most recently served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for EMC, where he was responsible for leading their IT transformation and overseeing their global centers of excellence that led to the delivery of IT as a service. He also provided leadership for EMC’s technology services and support to optimize enterprise processes and enable global sales.

Prior to his role at EMC, Bhagat served at GE for more than 20 years, where he was CIO for multiple organizations, including GE Aviation Services, GE Global Growth and Operations, CNBC, GE Corporate, and GE India and Southeast Asia.

Last month, the wireless networks company shifted its focus on the digital transformation space with the launch of its Virtual Network Services. The new services that can be delivered across public, private and wireless networks from Verizon or other service providers are aimed at enterprises and government agencies enabling them to transition to a virtual infrastructure model.
