How does it work?
SmartCloud provides a ‘smart window’ from Gmail to Salesforce with access to all contextually relevant business information, keeping it relevant and up to date in both systems. It also offers a wide range of intelligent tools, which claims to help sales, support and marketing teams perform their daily business tasks in an effective and fast manner.
The company has stated that this is a ‘Public Beta Program Launch’ and SmartCloud Connect Gmail users will be able to create and update Salesforce business records directly from Gmail, save emails and attachments to Salesforce, log any interaction activities with customers, create follow-ups, get customer insight from Salesforce and social media, post to Chatter feeds, and compose email messages with Salesforce letter templates and track their openings.
How to install?
SmartCloud Connect first requires installation of the browser extension for Gmail from Google store, which provides Salesforce data and smart features directly from an email message or a calendar event. According to the company the platform has intuitive and clear interface and provides helpful customization tools, which allow the users to personalize and extend the Salesforce working environment inside Gmail without any technical or IT knowledge.
Vlad Voskresensky, CEO, Invisible Solutions said, “In todays interconnected world users are looking for a unified experience, which allows you to use the multiplied power of several tools melded together. After helping many customers combine together their Office365/Outlook experience with their Salesforce CRM, we are happy to announce the same functionality to the army of Gmail users.”
The company stated that SmartCloud Connect for Salesforce Gmail beta release is freely available for all users and from September 8th to October 7th, for all Beta users, the company will be offering a complimentary 1-year subscription.
