Zadara VPSA claims to offer both at-rest and in-flight data encryption providing user-owned keys to ContractPal. The company further claims to provide enterprise-grade data protection and disaster recovery functionality including snapshots, remote mirroring, and Backup to S3 (B2S3) service.
“The results have been outstanding. Performance at all levels has exceeded expectations. As a bonus, we have also become more responsive to our customer needs,” said David Martineau, CTO, ContractPal.
“I’m not just paying for capacity. I’m paying for a talented group of human beings, some of whom I know on a first name basis, who know a lot more about storage than I do. Zadara’s support team, and entire company for that matter, has been very responsive and proactive. It is great to know that they are available, and I consider them an extension of my internal team.”
With this move, ContractPal aims to transition from a CapEx (Capital Expenditure) model to a pure OpEx (Operating Expense) model, while ensuring their customers are protected by sophisticated data encryption and comprehensive data protection and disaster recovery services. This, it believes, will significantly upgrade the level of service they are providing to its clients, all while enjoying the ‘flexibility, agility and economic benefits’ of cloud-based, Storage-as-a-Service.
“We are pleased to be able to assist ContractPal as they migrate their architecture to a cloud-based OpEx model,” said Bob Sarubbi, Vice President of Americas sales and strategic alliances, Zadara Storage.
“By providing the right levels of data security and disaster recovery services, we were able to provide ContractPal with a cloud-based architecture and enable them to leverage the flexibility, scalability and financial benefits of Storage-as-a-Service.”
