NxtGen, a provider of cloud and data center services in India and Singapore, today announced a strategic partnership with Nutanix, an enterprise cloud platform company to develop, market and sell hosted private cloud services and an enterprise-class cloud-based Disaster Recovery model from NxtGen’s 9 datacenters located across India.

According to the cloud company, the services can be leveraged by enterprises on an on-demand, elastic and pay-as-you-grow model, which enables cost efficiency by up to 60% reduction from licensing, enhanced scalability, fastest time to value – allowing enterprise IT innovation without compromising on the security and control of on-premises IT infrastructure.

“With Nutanix we are expanding our capabilities to enable our customers to build digital businesses without investing in, building and managing complex IT infrastructure. Most enterprises are looking at Hybrid IT infrastructure models, NxtGen is now able to make available a world leading hyperconverged platform on a fully managed, hosted or on-premise, elastic and pay-per-use model to the enterprise,” said A.S. Rajgopal, Founder and CEO, NxtGen.

“We plan to invest heavily on our initial infrastructure deployment of Nutanix gear at our data centers pan India in the next six months, and will continue to expand our services portfolio with Nutanix as it builds more innovation into the IT infrastructure layer,” he added.

How will it help?

The Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform would aim to enable NxtGen to build and support more scalability by combining hyperconverged and web-scale technologies with enterprise-class capabilities. Furthermore, Nutanix will help provide high performance that NxtGen customers need, at as much as a 50% reduction in IT footprint.

Sunil Mahale, Vice President of India Sales, Nutanix, said, “The Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform leverages web-scale engineering and consumer-grade design to natively converge compute, virtualisation and storage and to deliver an enterprise-class on-premise experience without taking away the security and control from customers. Together with NxtGen’s leading cloud-hosting and data centre services, I am confident that we can provide huge value to our joint customers.”

An effort towards Disaster Recovery

NxtGen also revealed that it would leverage the Disaster Recovery capabilities of the Nutanix platform to offer disaster recovery as a service for enterprises. It explains that the platform is amazingly agile, allowing deployments in as little as a few hours compared to a few months of planning and implementation earlier.

The company claims that this fully managed services portfolio would allow enterprise IT to focus on building and managing their enterprise applications, rather than building and managing complex infrastructure. Through its multiple datacenters located across the country, NxtGen aims to offer the widest reach and choice of locations to customers looking for a Disaster Recovery service to their private cloud deployments.
