According to the company, Azure Marketplace offers integrated tools, pre-built templates and managed services to make it easier to build and manage enterprise, mobile, web and Internet of Things (IoT) applications faster and more efficiently. Hence, Hillstone claims that its virtual solution can integrate with multiple security services, including firewall security, application identification and threat protection, ensuring secure cloud deployments.
“We are proud to be Microsoft Azure certified. Security is the number one concern for cloud deployment among enterprises, and now customers have a choice with Hillstone CloudEdge. With CloudEdge, customers can not only secure their cloud deployments, but they can also protect the connection between disparate cloud sites,” said Francis Teo, South East Asia Regional Director, Hillstone Networks.
In addition to network security services common to Hillstone’s hardware-based NGFW, CloudEdge claims to offer the following benefits:
- North-South Traffic Inspection to provide the Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) network with dedicated security isolation via policy control, as well as granular access control, QoS, VPN, IPS and server load balancing to guarantee business continuity.
- Secures Data Transmission via VPN to protect data transmission between VPCs or VPCs to their associated enterprise networks.
- Simplified Deployment and Management- Since it is fully integrated with Cloud Management Platforms (CMPs), administrators can launch, stop and configure firewall policies from the CMP itself; administrators can also configure CloudEdge directly via SecureShell (SSH).
Apart from Microsoft Azure, CloudEdge is also available for purchase and deployment on other cloud service providers, including Amazon Web Services. In August, it was also listed on the Alibaba Cloud Global Marketplace for its technology partners.
