HPE announces Managed Services for Microsoft Azure

Hewlett Packard Enterprise, a provider of IT, technology & enterprise products and solutions has announced Managed Services for Microsoft Azure, a set of services from HPE Enterprise Services for design, deployment, delivery and daily operational support for the public cloud platform.

The Managed Services aim to provide customers access to a fully managed service that addresses the public cloud component of a company’s end-to-end hybrid infrastructure requirements, allowing companies to focus on creating efficiencies and generating added value to their business.

“The Microsoft Azure cloud platform is designed to deliver hybrid solutions tailored to the unique needs of enterprise clients. This offering from HPE Enterprise Services allows us to provide the right balance of public, private and traditional IT solutions for our mutual customers,” said Mike Neil, Corporate Vice President, Enterprise Cloud, Microsoft.

Offerings by HPE Managed Services

The new set of services are designed to help customers customize service packages in order to meet particular application characteristics and business needs. This is achieved by providing the following capabilities:

  • Management of virtual server, storage and network infrastructure so that clients can focus on their business’s core competencies
  • Service provisioning and de-provisioning as well as infrastructure configurations management so that clients can govern their resources usage based on their application requirements
  • Operations support, active directory management, operating system patching services – all to allow the IT and Business leaders to focus on achieving business outcomes
  • Backup and recovery services, and Security services to ensure that best practices are implemented to protect company data and support security certifications

In addition to the managed services for Microsoft Azure, HPE Enterprise Services offers application migration and transformation services, cloud native application development, and a complete set of Big Data and Analytics capabilities on Microsoft Azure, which include data lake setup services, and analytics application development and management.
