The acquisition has also added nine US markets to H5’s growing data center portfolio. Cleveland’s enterprise data center will provide H5 with an established customer base and wholesale data center inventory in Ohio.

Cleveland data center was previously owned by Virginia-based ByteGrid. The company acquired the complex for $16.9 million in 2013 through Cleveland Technology Holdings LLC. In May 2015, the data center became operational and took up 26,000 square feet of space within the facility, most of which was being leased by customers.
The four-story data center is 333,215 square foot with significant long haul fiber termination. The site currently claims to have 250 kW of commissioned power available, with 300 kW coming to the building in three months. Additional plans to deliver 1-2 MW of commissioned power in 2018 are underway as well. The facility also plans to offer access to over ten different fiber providers and add additional providers over time.
So far, the H5 data center has expanded its base in Ashburn, Atlanta, Charlotte, Denver, Phoenix, San Jose, San Luis Obispo and Seattle.
