In an effort to extend its global footprint and customer base in the Japanese markets, Vancouver-based ACL–a software provider that offers consulting services in risk and audit management–has signed a partnership with Protiviti Japan to enhance governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) software solutions for Japanese customers.
In an arguably well-timed deal when most of the internal audit and risk teams in Japan are starting to see the value of GRC software, the partnership aims at leveraging Protiviti’s expertise in GRC consulting built on ACL’s GRC management platform.
Protiviti that provides internal audit, financial, and risk consulting services, will potentially supplement ACL’s offerings and gain the technology in line with its GRC services and consultation for clients in Japan.
Yasumi Taniguchi, Country Market Leader and Managing Director, Protiviti Japan, said:
“We are delighted to partner with ACL in Japan. We believe ACL’s expertise in GRC software will complement our consulting and research competency to empower Japan companies to reach their growth potential.”
Protiviti and its independently owned member firms serve clients through a network of more than 70 locations in over 20 countries, claims the company.
However this isn’t the first time, the two companies have come together. Earlier, in June, Protiviti shared the same stage with leaders from ACL at the GRC LeaderCon
, which was conducted in Singapore to discuss topics surrounding how GRC fits into the evolving business landscape and creation of effective GRC management programs.
Eric Lim, Managing Director, Asia Pacific, ACL, stated:
“We see no point in automating a bad process. By collaborating with Protiviti Japan, we can help customers design better processes in conjunction with technology implementation to magnify performance improvements.”
ACL vouches to help customers, including government organizations and 89% of the Fortune 500, with risk management and compliance. And with the synergy at hand, ACL plans to increase its already existing community of over 14,000 customers.
Its present product portfolio consists of GRC (Governance Risk and Compliance), Analytics, Analytics Exchange and Direct Link for SAP ERP and SAP CRM. In another expansion in August, the company had launched ACL Essentials
, a suite of analysis applications to monitor ERP process controls and risk. The service suite was said to be built on ACL platform and aimed at identifying control gaps by monitoring data for indicators of fraud.
