Nimble raises $9M, aims to make its CRM solution smarter
Web based relation management solutions company, Nimble, has raised $9 million in a Series A investment round led by Imagen Capital Partners. Previous investors also participated in the funding round including Radical Investments, Google Ventures, Indicator Ventures and a group of strategic angels including Jason Calacanis, Howard Lindzon and Don Dodge.
Nimble claims to combine the strengths of traditional CRM, classic contact management, social media, sales intelligence and marketing automation into a social selling solution. The company also claims to help people intelligently nurture relationships across email and social networks such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.
According to the company, the fresh funds will be used to accelerate product innovation, strategic partnerships, and customer adoption. “We’re taking this investment to scale Nimble because we think that today’s legacy CRMs are too complex and hard to use, and that you spend too much time maintaining data in your CRMs than letting your CRM platform work for you. The resulting low end-user adoption is a significant cause of failure for CRMs,” said Jon Ferrara, Founder and CEO, Nimble.
The company claims that it is situated at a position to leverage the growing community of more than 100 million businesses powered by Office 365 and the 5 million businesses powered by Google G Suite. This is because it states to have built a CRM solution that integrates with Office 365 and Google G-Suite emails, contacts and calendars and eliminates the tedious data entry process and automating repetitive tasks.
The solution states to unify all the components into a single contact manager and maps contact identities and background details from social networks and third party databases. Company insights are added automagically including industry, size, location, employee count, revenue and more to help target the right companies.
“Nimble lives where users work: in email, the browser, and on their mobile devices. Our new funding will enable us to continue to delight and empower our customers with simply smarter CRM features so they can effortlessly sell more,” said Ferrara.Nimble’s Social Relationship Management Platform claims to be compatible with Office 365, G Suite, Outlook, Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Hootsuite, iOS and Android.
