Indian online marketplace, Snapdeal has appointed former Adobe executive, Rajiv Mangla, as its new Chief Technology Officer. In his new role, Mangla will establish the company’s technical vision and lead all aspects of the company’s technological development.
Prior to his appointment at Snapdeal, Mangla spent about 10 years at Adobe Systems where he most recently served as VP Engineering, Digital Marketing. He has been instrumental in Adobe’s foray into Enterprise and Digital Marketing businesses and managed global teams across all solutions of Adobe Marketing Cloud. His responsibilities at Adobe included foundational big data, content and personalization technologies.
Speaking about his appointment, Mangla said, “I have been yearning to get back to the thriving startup ecosystem in the country and what better opportunity than Snapdeal which has created a platform that touches hundreds of millions of people across the country. Prior to joining Adobe, Mangla had been an entrepreneur for 10 years and founded couple of companies. He enjoys leveraging technological advances for disruptive business innovation and believes a lot of traditional businesses will continue to be disrupted in near future by software and technology.
Mangla holds a BTech degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
