Deskera partners with Visa to provide SaaS to SMBs

Enterprise software provider, has partnered with Visa to provide Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) to Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) in Asia and Europe. The service will be provided through the Visa Business Hub (VBH) in Singapore. VBH — a portal for SaaS apps — was launched earlier this year, specifically targeting the SMBs. The hub includes resources related to sales, marketing and customer communication, work collaboration, project management and customer relationship management (CRM), human resources, accounting and legal, and website building and hosting. Visa says, the hub can help companies save up to 25 per cent on IT expenses. The partnership between Deskera and Visa is part of the two companies’ “commitment to empower businesses to leverage on innovative technologies through cost effective SaaS platforms.” Deskera’s SaaS platform is expected to be accessed by around 12-15 million commercial Visa cardholder SMBs in Asia and Europe. Vikram Kshettry, Head of Small Business Products, Asia Pacific, Visa said:
“We are happy to have Deskera on board. Modern businesses face increased demands from their stakeholders to be digitally enabled and this is often daunting. We look forward to serving the SMB sector with the Deskera business suite.”
Deskera claims that it has experienced “explosive growth with revenue increase of over 100 per cent year-on-year since 2013” and hopes to maintain the same pace in the years ahead. While SMBs form a key segment for Singapore, they according to an official release from Deskera, contribute to almost 50 per cent of the country’s GDP and 70 per cent of the workforce. According to Shashank Dixit, Founder and CEO, Deskera, he believes in the motto of “Small is Powerful” and that strengthens his belief in the SMB sector.
“I am encouraged that international brands like Visa are providing a platform to serve SMBs better and we look forward to working with them in Singapore and other countries in the region,” he said.
