Now navigate Indian roads offline with LinCodes
“A poor addressing system may seem no more than a minor annoyance, but it definitely hampers growth and development, at times, even costing lives. In such situations, it becomes increasingly important for everyone from a lay person to emergency services to be able to communicate even the most complex of addresses in the most accurate and simple way possible,” said Pramod Rathi, Founder, NextEra Softech. This method also provides a defined way to lead anybody to a particular location, as every place will now have a precise address instead of a long conventional address. One can search for any location, or generate a LinCode for a particular location and share it with anybody else. One can also reach to the destination using the app’s ‘Direction’ feature. Also, one can save and create a list of multiple LinCodes for frequent use, and based on privacy settings, people can view and access these saved locations, which can easily lead them to the exact location.
The app can be downloaded on Android, iOS as well as on Windows. Once the app is open, you can search for a particular location to get its LinCode, or enter a known LinCode to find the location. What’s interesting is that the app does not require internet connectivity for operation, neither does it depend on GPS and latitude/longitude, thus making it accessible even with internet hindrances.
