Outsystems ramps up APAC business; enters Japanese market

Enterprise software company OutSystems has announced the expansion of its Asia-Pacific operations into Japan with the opening of an office in Tokyo. With this expansion, the company aims to meet the increasing demand for low-code development in Japan and the wider Asia Pacific region.
“Japan, the world’s third largest economy, is an important market for OutSystems. Businesses are growing fast in this new digital economy and a low-code app development platform can fuel that growth and help them achieve digital transformation. OutSystems is fully committed to supporting the digital growth of Japanese businesses,” said Mark Weaser, Vice President, OutSystems APAC.
OutSystems’ low-code development platform enables enterprises to achieve their digital transformation goals and deliver better products and services to their customers. It first started operations in Asia Pacific in 2013, winning over 40 customers in the Japan Market, bringing the total number to 116 within the APAC region. The company claims that its key clients in Japan include two of the country’s largest car manufacturers as well as some of Japan’s largest B2C and B2B specialized retailers and wholesalers. “Many leading businesses in Japan are realizing that digital transformation with a low-code app development platform offers significant benefits such as increased operational efficiencies. By setting up a local office here, we will strengthen our presence in Japan and forge closer business relationships with our existing customers, potential customers, and partners,” said Arnold Consengco, Senior Director, North Asia, OutSystems APAC and Representative Director for OutSystems Japan.
