Now discover, compare & buy using Staqu’s AI-powered chrome extension
Staqu, a Delhi-based AI startup, has announced the launch of Tap & Buy as a smart Google Chrome extension. The new feature offers product discovery, price comparison, and quality savings on popular products, all in an instant.
In addition, it also extracts fashion trends from running YouTube videos, and compares prices of online portals selling the same. Tap & Buy currently works on Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal, Myntra, Infibeam and Jabong.
“We believe e-commerce purchasing is not a standalone activity; users are complicated. They don’t conform to any particular stereotypes. They buy different things at different times for different reasons and it is influenced by price, availability, inspiration, season, platform etc,” said Atul Rai, Co-Founder and CEO, Staqu.
“At Staqu, it has been our constant endeavour to revolutionize the e-commerce space by targeting the closed ecosystem of ecommerce-users-platform through our various set of AI algorithms. The latest Tap & Buy browser plugin feature is part of the effort,” Rai explained.Staqu has also entered into an alliance with the leading OEMs, Intex, Zen and Karbonn mobiles. As part of the association, the Tap & Buy feature will be integrated in the smartphones of these consumer brands. With this feature, the company aims to take the pain away from having to browse multiple sites and apps, and users will no longer have to worry about increasing prices or endure endless browsing prior to online buying. Last month, Staqu launched Aura Note 2 with Karbonn Mobiles which is equipped with various levels of AI powered e-commerce discovery tools. The device comes integrated with an app ‘Fashion Eye’ which allows users to search for an outfit by simply clicking its picture, with the AI engine of the app automatically recognizing the print, pattern and color of the outfit to give relevant results. The current Tap & Buy feature is also live on various official Bollywood YouTube channels for fashion recommendation from video songs. With its prime focus on AI research, image processing, deep learning, computer vision and NLP, the company has created VGrep API suite, offering virtual search engine and a hybrid recommendation engine.
