Avnet to provide analytics solutions to IBM partners
Global technology distributor Avnet, has launched a new initiative to help IBM Business Partners provide industry-specific data analytics solutions in the US and Canada.
The new data analytics initiative is designed to help reduce the risks and costs associated with creating a data analytics practice for IBM Business Partners. Avnet’s specialists will provide training, pipeline development support, industry education, and pre- and post-sales services to Business Partners across finance, insurance and retails sectors.
“Traditionally, Business Partners have needed to make substantial investments annually to secure their first industry analytics wins with no guarantees of long-term success,” said Colin Blair, vice president of data analytics and IoT solutions, Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas.The new initiative is designed to build upon IBM’s recently introduced industry analytics solutions. Each solution includes pre-built predictive analytic modeling patterns and interfaces for focused industry use cases. Business Partners can help their customers share predictive insights across teams and organizations with interactive and role-specific dashboards. This, in turn, will give them a deeper understanding of their customers, assets and operations to help make better decisions and act with greater speed and fewer resources.
