Global technology distributor
Avnet, has launched a new initiative to help IBM Business Partners provide industry-specific data analytics solutions in the US and Canada.
The new data analytics initiative is designed to help reduce the risks and costs associated with creating a data analytics practice for IBM Business Partners. Avnet’s specialists will provide training, pipeline development support, industry education, and pre- and post-sales services to Business Partners across finance, insurance and retails sectors.
“Traditionally, Business Partners have needed to make substantial investments annually to secure their first industry analytics wins with no guarantees of long-term success,” said Colin Blair, vice president of data analytics and IoT solutions, Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas.
The new initiative is designed to build upon IBM’s recently introduced industry analytics solutions
. Each solution includes pre-built predictive analytic modeling patterns and interfaces for focused industry use cases. Business Partners can help their customers share predictive insights across teams and organizations with interactive and role-specific dashboards. This, in turn, will give them a deeper understanding of their customers, assets and operations to help make better decisions and act with greater speed and fewer resources.
Perks for Business Partners:
- In-depth sales and technical training, along with the identification of specific sales opportunities and defined next steps to advance the lead
- IBM workshops, digital marketing programs, appointment setting campaigns, and face-to-face progression events and executive briefings
- Pre-sales support collaboration with Avnet and IBM to progress opportunities, including demonstrations and proof-of-concept solution designs
- Post-sales support: implementation and expansion services training and augmentation
“Today, more than ever before, Business Partners require new skill sets and access to resources to help their customers share predictive insights across complex new markets,” said Michele Stern, Vice President, North America Business Partners, IBM.
“Through Avnet’s analytics initiative, IBM Business Partners receive data analytics training and sales support in high-growth industries to develop new industry-specific data analytics solutions to solve business problems for mutual clients,” Stern added.
Partners can also leverage Avnet’s expertise in complementary technology market segments, including cloud, cognitive computing, data center, IoT, mobility, security and enterprise networking.
Avnet is also hosting Avnet Technology Solutions Partner Summit
on November 13-16, 2016, in Scottsdale, Arizona. The summit will bring together Avnet partners and suppliers
from companies that span the entire Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas’ channel community, as well as dozens of industry leaders to discuss the ever-evolving IT landscape and ways to compete for more market share in today’s digital economy.
