provider Grab has announced on-demand authentication services to the emerging sector for home delivery. And in order to achieve this goal, the company has entered into a partnership with two of India’s top telecom operators – Airtel and Reliance Jio, to offer customers home delivery and activation of SIM card within minutes. Grab has enhanced its technology platform and now offers a solution whereby an individual can place a request on Jio and Airtel’s platform for a SIM card and avail the SIM delivery as per his/her availability. It will provide the customer access to real-time availability data of riders around his/her locality or a time slot to choose from. Once confirmed, the customer will receive an SMS with rider details and a precise ETA to doorstep with real-time tracking. The rider authenticates himself via his biometric scanner linked to Aadhaar using the Reliance or Airtel system and closes the transaction on Grab’s platform. “We are delighted to capture the banking and telecom segment that allows our client offer a better customer experience backed by Grab’s technology and rider infrastructure,” said Pratish Sanghvi, Director and Co-founder, Grab.
